I recently bought an LG home theater, model number HT302SD. The manual says that it supports VobSub subtitle format. I need this specific format because my subtitles are all in Arabic character set, which is not supported if used in an .srt file by the LG set. So, the only way to show them is to use bitmap-based subtitles, which is the Vob ... H.264 TS files created using HD PVR to MKV. - I re-installed it and same problem. Also, have you managed to get the IR Blaster working in HD-PVR? I'm going to try BeyondTv .... VOB2MPG won't create the mpg - Select the VIDEO_TS folder within the VOB, then start.... VOB question - Thanks for the replies and apologies for my delayed response. Busy week. I am able to play all 3 VOBs with VLC and all 3 can be read by Toast in the Video setting. Because the 3rd one is the longest and the full length of the footage, I went with that one. Toast creates new BUPs and IFOs when the DVD is burned.

That's a good question. "Almost" is an important word. I wouldn't want to eat something that was "almost" food, for example ... Motion Menus in DLP - thanks all that helps... Canopus claimed to solve the problem with the ADVC line of DV capture devices and has a switch for "locked" and "unlocked" audio. I forget now exactly how this works but I've never had any audio slip with my ADVC-100.

Not all media works in all drives, as mentioned. Different manufacturers of discs use different chemistries. And different drive manufacturers support these varieties differently. So, not all DVD+R is the same, for example. I wish it were otherwise.
