The video is originally 29.97 FPS. So I will assume that is NTSC, right?
So I converted it using the same amount of FPS. When done, the converted video has 29.97 FPS, but the Analysis Box says the standard is PAL!
I looked everywhere for a NTSC/PAL option, but there is not one ... AVS script help, black out a region in clip - Create a black BMP using an Image Editor (or maybe a black video using BlankClip) of the desired resolution and Overlay or Layer it where you want. You may have to convert its colorspace, probably to YV12:

Sometimes it does odd things. There's no reason for it to not work, I can watch Youtube just fine in Safari.

By default Premie exports the AVI with Lower Field First under "Keyframe and Rendering". Unless you know your AVI is interlaced, change it to "No Fields (Progressive Scan)".
I can only suggest another method that doesn't take up 50GB of HDD. In the ffdshow setti ... Encore DVD 2.0 burning question - Premier does have a builtin MPEG2 encoder (Mainconcept). If the option is not available for you, then something is seriously wrong with your copy.
I'd suggest a reinstallation.

I'd bet too that you're probably having problems with AC3 audio. At the DivX forums we highly recommend AC3Filter , and if you can find version 1.11 even better since we beli ... Artifect in AVI file - Could be a codec problem, could be a corrupt file that is beyond hope. Nothing to go on, so nothing more can be offered.... how to "flatten" colors - MSU has a nice one for virtualdub that has quite a few settings to tweak. I have used it a few times to stylise footage for use in motion menus. Reasonably fast as well.

I believe that a vast majority of dvd upconverting players are 1080i only but I do remember seeing some claiming 1080p upconverting.

When MTR (in Legacy+ engine only) encounters damaged sectors it logs them and at the end of the rip creates a file (DSL) that it places in the ripped movie folder along side the VIDEO_TS

not on ac ... wma to mp3 errors; losing file size on conversion - When I convert wma's to mp3's, the mp3's won't play. I was actually able to convert 2 tracks successfully, but the remaining files will not play through itunes . The file size says zero KB on disk once converted. How can I get the wma's to convert to mp3's so I can play them in a playlist with itunes?... What files do I download? - I bought it in Futureshop in Canada and the model # is on the front!!!...
